1. Animal Services

    The Sherwood Humane Animal Services Department boasts of having one of the Nation's most successful adoption programs and one of the lowest rates for animal euthanasia in the country.

  2. City Clerk

    The City Clerk’s Office is the hub of financial affairs for the City of Sherwood, including accounts receivable, payable, general ledger accounting, bank reconciliation, and investments.

  3. Computer Services

    Our Computer Services Department recommends, implements, and manages all technologies used by the City of Sherwood in providing services to the community.

  4. Court

    Our Sherwood District Court processes civil and misdemeanor criminal cases, and supports the work of our District Court Judge.

  5. Engineering, Permit & Planning

    The Sherwood Engineering, Permit and Planning Department is actually comprised of three divisions: the Engineering Division, the Permit and Planning Division and the Sherwood Wastewater Utility.

  6. Human Resources

    The City of Sherwood's Office of Human Resources provides a supportive and productive work environment for our nearly 300 employees.

  7. Parks & Recreation

    The Parks and Recreation Department provides a variety of programming for Sherwood residents of all ages that include sports leagues, physical fitness, aquatics classes, an after-school care, and summer day camp.

  8. Office of Emergency Management (OEM)

    The City of Sherwood OEM is responsible for the emergency preparedness and disaster planning, as well as coordinating efforts of multiple agencies during disaster response and recovery efforts.

  9. Police Department

    The Police Department is responsible for the enforcement of traffic and criminal laws as well as City ordinances. The City of Sherwood has the 3rd lowest crime rate in the State.

  10. Public Works - Planning

    Overall, our Public Works Department plays a vital role in keeping our City clean so that our residents can spend their free time outside enjoying their neighborhood or one of the many City operated parks.

  11. Senior Citizens Center

    The Jack Evans Senior Citizens Center opened in March of 1996 and offers a supportive environment for our community’s seniors through a number of events and services.
