The Shelter is located at 6500 North Hills Boulevard, just a few blocks south of JFK Boulevard. The business office is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. for residents needing to purchase City pet licenses or conduct other business. Sherwood City Pet Licenses are sold at all Sherwood veterinary clinics, save a trip by asking for your pet's licenses when you check out.  Adoptions are available Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  

Animal Control

Sherwood Animal Services has one of the South's strongest animal control programs. The shelter cares for abandoned or stray animals, provides educational materials to help increase responsible pet guardianship, investigates complaints and enforces the Animal Care and Control Ordinances for the City. Animal services officers are available during business hours to respond to calls from Sherwood residents who need assistance with animal related problems by calling 501-834-2287 or animal related emergencies during the night, on weekends and holidays by calling the Sherwood Police Department at 501-835-1425.

Volunteer Information

Please email volunteer application to sherwoodpaws@gmail.com and contact the shelter to set up a day and time for orientation. Plese bring photo ID. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for orientation. Volunteers 14 or older, can volunteer alone. Under 14 must have a parent/legal guardian with them when volunteering.
