The City of Sherwood Permits and Planning Department will hold an informational meeting to discuss the Hemphill Road Widening Project. The meeting may be attended virtually via Zoom or there is an in-person Zoom option at the Sherwood District Court Room, located at 2201 E. Kiehl Ave at 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 28. The meeting will be limited to 50 minutes, due to a City Council meeting beginning at 6 p.m.
The Permits and Planning Department will make a brief presentation with project details and discuss concerns made in previous public meetings and in recent comments made to the City. For those who are unable to attend the meeting, a questionnaire for residents to participate in will be available through the City of Sherwood website after the meeting for several days to give as many people as possible time to respond.
To join in person, attendees will be screened for COVID-19 with a questionnaire and temperature check. In-person attendee names and phone numbers will be recorded. Seating will be limited. The Zoom meeting will be projected onto a television screen and an iPad will film the room. A moderator on-site will allow public comments one at a time in front of the iPad as time allows. Zoom participants are encouraged to use the Chat feature to make comments or request to speak during the meeting.
