WM (Waste Management) Monitoring Inclement Weather

WM delays Friday pickups

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (February 3, 2022) – WM (Waste Management) is monitoring the pending winter weather event currently forecasted to affect central Arkansas. Icy weather creates an incredibly dangerous situation for motorists, especially solid waste and recycling trucks.

WM is the residential solid waste and recycling partner for the unincorporated areas of Pulaski County. Additionally, WM services the residential, curbside recycling programs for the cities of Little Rock, North Little Rock and Sherwood. WM also provides residential solid waste services to the residents of Pine Bluff, Morrilton and Russellville. If WM deems it unsafe to operate, routes will run with a one-day delay.

Services in Pulaski County unincorporated, Little Rock, North Little Rock, Sherwood, Pine Bluff, Morrilton and Russellville will be suspended for a second day on Friday. WM will notify all areas of the adjusted pickup schedule when conditions are clear.

This is subject to change as more becomes known about the effects of the wintry weather.

Additional WM facilities closed Friday include Little Rock WM-Recycle America MRF, Two Pine Landfill, Jefferson County Landfill and the Ozark Ridge Landfill.

Little Rock residents with questions need to call 3-1-1. Pulaski County unincorporated, North Little Rock, Sherwood, and Pine Bluff residents may call 1-800-607-9509.
